FAQ

What is your review policy?

Update April 2013-Serena reviews through her publicist contacts.  Joy is returning from a blogging sabbatical and taking very limited review requests. If you've been reviewed here before, feel free to contact us about another book.

We review Christian romance (with or without edgy content) and YA in either the general market or Christian fiction.

We welcome queries from publishers, agents and authors. Our reviews are posted on Amazon and Goodreads and linked to Joy and Serena's Facebook and Twitter accounts. If you specifically ask us to post the review somewhere else, we will do our best to accommodate.

Except for e-books and PDF files, all review copies (including ARCs) are shared between Joy and Serena and frequently offered as giveaways after the review is posted. If this is a problem, please let us know. We do not sell ARCs or any other review copies received. We do not share PDF copies.

If we accept your book for review, we will give you a time frame for when you can expect it to be posted. We schedule reviews, author interviews, and special events 30-45 days in advance.

Even if we don't review your book, we are always looking for romance authors to interview, guest blog, or host giveaways.

Include these items in your email:
1. Title, author and publisher
2. Genre
3. Summary
4. Independent and small press novels may need to send a sample chapter before we commit to review.

What is your independant and small press policy?

Joy supports independent and small press authors whenever possible.  She only reviews novels which are professionally edited and have rockin' covers.  Her criteria is subjective, but such is the nature of a book review.

What is your guest post policy?

We are always looking for guest bloggers! Here are the writing guidelines:

1. Posts should be between 300-800 words.
2. Posts should be geared toward readers (not writers) of Christian fiction.
3. Funny posts or posts on edgier topics are HIGHLY encouraged.
4. Please include a short bio (written in 3rd person), a publicity photo, and a link to the cover of your book.
5. Guest posts may include an excerpt of your novel (excerpts not included in the word count totals).
6. Guest posts that coincide with giveaways tend to get more attention (but a giveaway is not required).
7. We may need to edit some guest posts, but edits will always be run past the authors first.
Find us on Twitter or email Joy at: joytamsindavid at yahoo dot com.

What is your contest policy?

Unless otherwise specified, giveaways are open to residents of US and Canada only. Winners are announced in the comment section of the giveaway post and are contacted by email. Winners have 48 hours to respond before a new recipient is drawn.

Contest wins are mailed in batches every three weeks. Please allow up to 30 days to receive your package.

All books are mailed Media Rate and we're not responsible for packages lost by the Post Office (it hasn't happened yet, but anything's possible).

Where can I buy Serena's books?

Woot-Woot! I am sooo glad you asked!  Our pal Serena Chase is a multi-published author and her Eyes of E'veria series is getting rave reviews!  Find THE RYN and its sequel THE REMEDY at Amazon and Goodreads.
