My Book Boyfriend- Alex Sinclair from Save the Date

Book bloggers highlight the characters they fell in love with in My Book Boyfriend, a weekly meme from Missie at The Unread Reader.

The book boyfriend that monopolized my time this week was Alex Sinclair from Save the Date by Jenny B. Jones.

My Book Boyfriend's Stats:
-32 Years Old
-Retired Football player
-Former playboy
-Campaigning for Congress

"A smile just this side of legal." p. 68

"Thick dark hair had just enough muss to let the world know he mixed pleasure with business." p. 20

In my mind, Alex looks like:

What I love about him-
Cocky arrogant humor hides a servant's heart

My favorite pick up line:

"You know what?" He moved in until her back was against the wall. "I think by the end of the day you'll be begging me to kiss you." His finger smoothed a trail across her cheek and down the delicate skin of her neck. "I've got plans for those lips of yours Lucy." p.236

What to know more about Alex's story? Here's the book blurb:
When Alex and Lucy pick out wedding invitations, they wonder if they can be printed in vanishing ink.

Former NFL star Alex Sinclair is a man who has it all--except the votes he needs to win his bid for Congress. Despite their mutual dislike, Alex makes Lucy a proposition: pose as his fiancee in return for the money she desperately needs. Bound to a man who isn't quite what he seems, Lucy will find her heart on the line--and maybe even her life. When God asks Alex and Lucy to scrap their playbook and follow his rules, will they finally say, "I do"?

  2. I loved this book and did a review of it a few days ago. The characters are so endearing! Though my imagined Alex (mine's a bit older and looks more like my husband! LOL) does not look like yours, he's still a cutie. ;o) Thanks for sharing. Happy Wednesday!
