Stalking Michelle Sutton

Michelle Sutton has agreed to come back to Edgy Inspirational Romance for a good old fashioned stalking. Her most recent release First Love, Tombstone Treasures Book Two, is available now from Desert Breeze Publishing.

The last thing you threw away:
Padded mailing envelopes several books arrived in.

A brand of breakfast cereal in your pantry: Cinnamon Life.

Three things in your purse: wallet, makeup, Kindle.

Something that will fall out of your medicine cabinet when I open it: Tylenol.

A sentence from your rough draft that didn't make the novel:

LOL! There aren't many, believe it or not... I usually just added a few things to clarify, but don't have to delete anything unless it was the rewording of a sentence to clarify something. Wait! Found something... I had him say, "You complete me." and the editor thought it would remind people of the movie Jerry McGuire. So I deleted it and changed it to "I need you in my life."

The name of every book you ever published (so we can track 'em all down):Everything after First Love is a future release (highlighted in blood red.) I also have nine more story ideas I'm hoping to sell for 2012 or later, and a few of them are in a series format, which would make them more than nine if the other six books make the cut... it would be 15 more titles.)

It's Not About Me (September 2008)

Danger at the Door (August 2009)

It's Not About Him (September 2009)

First Impressions (January 2010)

Never Without Hope (July 2010)

First Love (October 2010)

Letting Go (February 2011)

Their Separate Ways (July 2011)

Finding Love (September 2011)

First Response (October 2011)

Keeping Promises (February 2012)

Moving On (September 2012)

Your favorite not-quite-a-curse word: probably... crap

What sounds might I hear outside your kitchen window: wind chimes on the back porch.

One lousy job from your past: I worked a temp job for the NY State Dairy association and stamped envelopes and mailed them all day for several days in a row.

What would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Aren't you glad you followed My plan? You don't want to know what your life would have looked like if you had gone off on your own.

Michelle Sutton is the author of over a dozen edgy inspirational novels. As of Oct. 1st, seven will be available. Michelle works full time and has been married for twenty years. Her sons just began college this fall so she's got an empty nest at home in sunny Arizona.

You can find Michelle at:

  1. Great interview, Michelle and Joy! This "stalking" series is so fun! ;) I love hearing more about the authors.

I confess that I haven't read anything by Michelle (yet)... Should I run for cover? But you seem to be a popular author, and when I've visited your blog I've enjoyed it! :)

By the way, the cover of Letting Go looks great! How exciting that you have so many new books coming out!

  2. Such a fun post! I can't wait to see more from this series :)

  3. Fun, fun, fun! I love these interviews! Not sure I would have wanted that job either, Michelle. Sounds mind numbing... :)

  4. Amber, we will have to run for cover together! Her books are at the top of my wishlist, but alas, haven't been bought yet. I know, I know... so much to read, so little time! :)

  5. All right, twenty lashes with a wet noodle for anyone who has not read a Michelle Sutton book! ;) I'll make sure I post next time I hear of a great deal on one of her e-books.

I love the cover of Letting Go too, Amber.

    Thanks for stopping by everyone!

  6. Joy you always ask fun questions! I can't wait to read all those books by Michelle, I've read It's not ABout Him and It's Not About Me and really enjoyed them so I'm looking forward to Letting Go especially!

    XOXO~ Renee

  7. Joy, I love how you call yourself a stalker. That word just doesn't go with the smiling face in your profile picture! . . . I just read First Impressions by Michelle and really enjoyed it. I think it would be an especially good read for the college-age crowd. Oh, there was one problem I found with the book, though--it was too short!

  8. Ooops! I should have put Renee Ann . . . I love posting after Renee Steeler Girl. I think we've confused a few folks that way in the past! LOL

  9. What an amazing thought/answer to what God will say when you arrive at the pearly gates. Great interview!

  10. This is a fun interview :) I am AMAZED at how many books she has coming out in the future. How do you write so many at one time?

  11. Great Interview! I loved her answer when asked what would you want to hear God say. Definate food for thought :)

  12. This is a great interview. I have not read any of these books I'd have to admit, but after reading this, I most likely will
    Found you from Ten Talents

  13. Fun interview! I, too, loved your answer when asked what you'd say to God at the pearly gates... I believe mine would be along those lines, too... except for having to apologize for the times I have gone off plan! :-P

    Barb (following from Ten Talents)

  14. Whew, I have been so busy with work, I feel like I've been neglecting my comments. Sorry guys!

Thanks to the two Renees for stopping by. Renee Ann, I feel like a stalker when I find an author I love, I have to read everything they write. :)

@Juju, Tammy and Barb- I agree @ the Pearly Gates question, good answer.

@Allthingsnew- I'm amazed at how much she writes...and she reads a lot too.

@Country Living- You should definitely give her a try.

    Thanks for commenting everyone. ;)

  15. Hey Joy,

Sorry about not posting sooner but I was out of two visiting my boys in college. I do need you to write me as I have to tell you that I need you to amend my list of books releasing. Thanks!

  16. Joy, You have a wonderful blog!! And I see friends old and new here:) Michelle is one of my favorite folks in the whole writing arena so wanted to visit and say hello. The interview questions were great! Michelle is one prolific author so it doesn't surprise me that a few were omitted when this went to press:) Bless you for being a light and supporting Christian fiction!!

  17. Michelle, hope the trip went well. :)

Thanks Laura for stopping by. I agree, Michelle writes a lot. She should teach a workshop on how she fits in all that writing and reading she does.

I love comments more than Starbucks! Thanks for leaving one!
