What is the best Christian fiction book you've read in the past year? Maybe it wasn't Christian fiction, maybe it was a general fiction novel that dealt with issues of faith.
Here's your chance to nominate it for an Inspy Award. Announced this month, the Inspys are the brain child of book blogger Amy Riley from My Friend Amy. And kudos to her for such a fantastic idea!
In order for your favorite book to qualify for the INSPYs, it must meet the following criteria:
The book must have been originally published in the United States between July 1st, 2009 and June 30th, 2010. Reissues are not eligible.
The book must have been published in hardcover or trade paperback original.
The book must possess exceptional literary qualities including but not limited to: innovative, original writing, and depth of characterization.
The book must respectfully grapple with some element of the Christian faith.
The book must not have excessive profanity or explicit sex scenes.
Categories include historical fiction, Amish fiction, thriller/suspense/crime fiction, romance/romantic suspense, speculative fiction, creative nonfiction, YA fiction, and general/literary fiction.
Nominations are due by July 31. Winners will be announced December 13.
They are also looking for judges. So, if you are a fan of Christian fiction and would like to help judge the first annual Inspy Awards visit http://inspys.com/.
