Welcome to my blog launch party!

Are you as excited about edgy inspirational romance as I am? If not, stick around because you can’t stand too close to me without catching my enthusiasm!

Three years ago, I picked up an inspirational romance for an evening of light reading. When I finally put the book down in the wee hours of the morning, a dream that had smoldered on the back burners of my life was a full fledged flame.

I want to write a novel. I want to make someone feel like *that*.

The book, A Bride Most Begrudging by Deeanne Gist, was the first I’d ever read in the edgy inspirational sub-genre. Edgy inspirational is passionate. It’s real. It’s sometimes gritty- but always Christian.

And I. Am. Hooked.

Want to know what I’m talking about? Here’s your chance. To kick off my website I’m giving away my copy of the book that started it all. Subscribe to my blog by clicking the follow me link on the left. I’ll put all of your names in a hat this week and one of you will win A Bride Most Begrudging.

Then, be sure to check back to find book reviews of the latest edgy inspirational romances, author interviews, and updates on my own writing journey.

Here's a preview of what's coming up this week:

On Wednesday, I'll announce a fun giveaway for bloggers that you won't want to miss.

Next Saturday, I’ll announce the winner of A Bride Most Begrudging, and post my review of Deeanne Gist’s latest novel, Beguiled.

In the meantime, I'd love to hear from you! What's your favorite inspirational romance? List the title and author...

  1. Joy, what an awesome blog. You did a great job. My favorite inspirational romances are Mark of the Lion series and Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. I also love Courting Trouble by Deeanne Gist. I've never read A Bride Most Begrudging but would like to.

  2. Thanks Tamera! My favorite book by Deeanne Gist so far has been The Measure of a Lady. Have you read that one?

  3. Oh, Joy, as an "edgy Inspirational" author myself, I'm pretty sure I'm going to love (and bookmark) this blog!

My favorite "edgy" books (although she is not known as an "edgy" author) are Liz Curtis Higgs Scottish trilogy that begins with "Thorn in my Heart." They're WONDERFUL!!

God bless you and your blog, Joy!

  4. Oh my gosh, I'm gushing that you would pop by! Thanks! I'd love to interview you here one of these days!

  5. Hey there! It's looking real good around here!

This is a blog after my own heart, for sure! I'm also a writer working on a book, which isn't published yet. I started my blog with the intention of it being a book review site, but it's kind of taken on an arbitrary-yet-guided tone of it's own, lol!

I can't wait to read more from you!

  6. Thanks Christina for stopping by! :)

  7. Wow! Sounds like a very cool blog indeed. I followed you over from the disboards!

  8. Thanks for joining in iFellowship. We hope you have a wonderful and blessed day.

I love comments more than Starbucks! Thanks for leaving one!
